Relationship and love always ends with an inevitable separation, regardless of brief or permanent. This project aims to capture moments in the long distance relationship with his Korean lover, through photography the artist reunites with his lover via the virtual skin of photographs. 

Project: Hedgehog is a representation of the dynamic interaction between the newly dated couple, dancing between the binary elements of presence and absence throughout and aligns with the course of relationship. In the realm of the photographic imaginary, the project is the artist’s fetish towards his lover, through the visual study of the lover’s body and through the expressive metaphors in the lover’s absence. Here photography becomes the artist’s medium to reduce pain from separation and a medium to pleasure himself – a virtual intimacy.
